The Seed Company

Contact: Larry Jones

Web Site: https://theseedcompany.org

The Seed Company provides resources (training, funding, workshops, consultants, computer-assisted adaptation) for enabling mother-tongue speakers and other nationals to do Bible translation.

“Creatively networking God’s people around the world to translate the Bible into every language for His glory” is the mission of The Seed Company. By bringing the resources of Christians to the needs of translators, we develop partnerships that result in effective translation efforts. The Seed Company projects are clearly defined in terms of time, cost and results. Linguistic and technical training are provided. Translated Scripture is checked for clarity and accuracy. Close ties of accountability are established. Supporting partners share in the struggles and successes of the project. The results? Another people group receiving God’s message in their own heart language!

Walk Thru the Bible

Contact: Phil Tuttle

Web Site: http://www.walkthru.org

The mission of World Teach is to fulfill the Great Commission by teaching the Bible for lasting life change in order to produce mature and equipped disciples.

Our strategy is to find people (primarily pastors and church planters) who already have an effective ministry and enhance their ministry by training them to be better teachers and leaders and by putting teaching tools that produce life change in their hands.

We will provide 15 Bible courses for teachers to teach over a period of 15 years (suggested one per year).

We will provide training to teach the 15 Bible courses. Our expectation, in return, is that the teachers will teach the Bible courses a minimum of three times to a total audience of 100.

We will provide yearly enrichment courses to make the teachers better teachers and leaders.

Wycliffe has organizations in nearly forty countries and has had a part in translating over 500 New Testaments into minority and indigenous languages. Fifteen hundred more translation projects, representing over 70 countries, are in progress. Because Wycliffe organizations believe Bible translation is part of the Great Commission’s mandate given to the Church, Wycliffe actively seeks to engage the worldwide Church in the Bible translation ministry. Youth With A Mission is a global movement of Christians from many cultures, age groups, and Christian traditions, dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world. Also known as YWAM (pronounced “WHY-wham”), we unite in a common purpose to know God and to make Him known. It was founded by Loren & Darlene Cunningham in 1960.

When YWAM began its main focus was to get youth involved in missions. Today, it still focuses on youth, and also involves people aged 8 to 80. YWAM currently works in more than 1,100 locations in over 180 countries, with a staff of over 18,000.

One of the joys of participating in YWAM is to work with people from many nations. YWAM’s staff (known as “YWAMers”) come from over 130 countries.
